A Cross Connection Control Tester inspects operating conditions of Back Flow Preventers, tests for proper operation of Back Flow Preventers, determines Back Flow Preventer requirements based on local by-laws and ordinances, repairs, replaces, and installs Back Flow Preventers and provides documented test report forms for private and municipal records.
This program runs Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 3:00pm with the certification exam on Saturday, for a total of 6 days. Mornings are dedicated to classroom instruction, while afternoons focus on hands-on shop practice.
The course fee includes the BC Cross Connection Certification manual. Students must contact BCWWA to pay the exam fee 2 weeks prior to the exam date.
