A Cross Connection Control Tester inspects operating conditions of Back Flow Preventers, tests for proper operation of Back Flow Preventers, determines Back Flow Preventer requirements based on local by-laws and ordinances, repairs, replaces, and installs Back Flow Preventers and provides documented test report forms for private and municipal records.
The Cross Connection Recertification Course includes a full-day session on Saturday (8:00am to 3:00pm) and two Evening classes on Tuesday and Thursday, (6:00pm to 9:00 pm). The certification exam takes place the following Saturday from 8:00am to 3:00 pm.
Each session is divided into two parts: classroom instruction during the first half and hands-on practice in the shop during the second half.
The course fee includes the BC Cross Connection Certification manual. Students must contact BCWWA to pay the exam fee at least 2 weeks before the scheduled exam date.
